How Cells Work

At Alive IV and Wellness, we are more than just a spa.

Our protocols may offer rapid improvement in health and well being but they are not just a quick fix. They represent a shift in the way we approach wellness. By incorporating IV nutrients and nutrition into your regular routine to improve cell metabolism, you may experience a profound impact on your overall health, energy levels, and mental clarity. This is not just about feeling better for a day, but about creating lasting change in your life.

Multi-dimensional approach to health

While we certainly understand that some health issues require a multi-dimensional approach to understand and resolve, we also know that underlying most health issues is diminished cellular metabolism and poor mitochondrial function, and this is where we come in – to improve your cellular metabolism.  Let’s explain:

What is cell metabolism?

Cell metabolism refers to the collection of biochemical reactions that take place within each cell to sustain life.  These reactions involve the breakdown of nutrients such as carbohydrates, fats, and proteins to produce energy and aid in maintaining healthy cells.

What is mitochondrial function?

Mitochondria are tiny, specialized structures inside each cell that produce energy to power the body.  They are often described as the “powerhouse” of the cell because they are the body’s primary site of energy production.

The process of energy production in the mitochondria is known as cellular respiration.  During this process, mitochondria use oxygen to break down nutrients to produce a molecule called ATP, which serves as the primary energy source for the body.

Mitochondria and ATP play a crucial role in muscle contraction, nerve transmission, hormone production, and every other function in the body.

What happens in the cells with aging, stress or disease?

Most of the energy that our body uses to function is produced in the mitochondria.  Therefore, the health and function of mitochondria are crucial for proper cell function.

Dysfunctional mitochondria can lead to various health problems, including neurodegenerative diseases, metabolic disorders, cardiovascular disease, and symptoms of aging.  Interestingly, all of these things can further diminish cell metabolism and mitochondrial function.

Overall, poor mitochondrial function can profoundly impact health and wellness and can be found underlying just about any disease process.

Can we help improve your cell metabolism?

At Alive IV and Wellness, our IVs and protocols are explicitly designed to improve cell metabolism and mitochondrial function. Healthy cell metabolism and mitochondrial function are utterly dependent on various nutrients. Therefore, our IVs and injections deliver these necessary nutrients directly into the bloodstream so that they may rapidly reach the cells in the right combinations and at much higher concentrations than if taken orally.

In addition to providing essential nutrients, our IVs can help improve mitochondrial function by promoting detoxification and reducing oxidative stress. Toxins and free radicals can damage cells and impair their function. IV therapy can help remove these harmful substances by providing antioxidants to neutralize free radicals, thereby protecting mitochondria and supporting their function.
